Drumming Classes at DRUMTEK
Mondays from 6:30pm – 8:30pm
At Drumtek, 529 – 535 High Street, Northcote, Melbourne
King is back to running a drumming workshop starting 3 October, all ages and experience levels welcome.
The course will be run in 6 week blocks and you will learn 2 traditional drumming rhythms, where by students will be developing rhythm, tones and techniques. For the more advanced, King will provide additional rhythmical challenges to suit your needs.
There will also be opportunities for students to perform at various community events as they arise.

Drumming Class Descriptions
Beginners class: focus on basic hand drumming technique and simple djembe rhythms.
Advanced Class: focus on more advanced drumming techniques and more complex rhythms including hand and stick technique, sabar, boucarabou and dun dun
Throughout the year there are numerous performance opportunities, in the past these have included Australia day celebrations at Federation Square , Revolver Upstairs and Rhythm of Africa at Werribee Open Range Zoo.
Private drumming tuition is also available by negotiation.
Includes djembe, dun dun, boucarabou, sabar, sewerba and afro-cuban percussion styles.
